I opted to combine my blog and substack here because substack lets me collect emails and the blog didn't. I also want to keep things simple and only be in a few places instead of spread thin.

That makes sense to me. I like my blog, but Substack offers up a way to do a blog and a newsletter all at once, which is nice.
